Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) provides support to eligible graduate, professional and undergraduate students.

swag外流 is committed to ensuring that our students are able to make progress towards graduation, despite the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic. The HEERF provides one-time funding divided among eligible graduate/professional students and undergraduate students based on the percentage of enrollment. It also provides funding to support institutional operational needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Higher Education Emergency Relief Act

HEERF has three parts which are all similar in purpose, each involving slightly different requirements, guidelines and timing.

  • HEERF II (Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021)
  • HEERF III (American Rescue Plan)
  • Minority Serving Institution Funding Under HEERF I, II, and III

Consistent with the Funding Certification and Agreements made to the Department of Education, swag外流 committed to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants. These grants go to eligible students whose lives have been disrupted, many of whom are facing financial challenges and struggling to make ends meet.
